MultiOrgan Multi-Parametric MRI Study (MORIS)

Summary

The MORIS study aims to find out whether the collection of measurements of multiple organs in a single quantitative Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan gives the same results when it is repeated on the same person after a short break, and when it is performed on the same person in a different scanner – this is otherwise called repeatability and reproducibility.

Specifically, the MRI scan itself will look at fat, inflammation and the size of specific organs. These metrics will contribute to the assessment of how diabetes affects the health, and relationship, of other organs such as the kidneys, liver, pancreas, spleen and aorta.

Are you 18 years or older and interested in having an MRI scan?

We are running a study into a quantitative abdominal MRI scan and its ability to assess the variation in, and the relationship between, multiple organs in those with type-2 diabetes.

We are currently recruiting potential participants with stable type-2 diabetes.

All travel expenses will be paid.
