Are you an experienced Plain Film / Xray Radiographer who is looking to work flexibly around personal commitments or is wanting to pick up extra hours alongside another job?
We are looking for several locum Plain Film Radiographers to join our Community Diagnostics Centre with both weekday and weekend shifts available.
About the role
Perspectum have partnered with the OUH (Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust) in opening Oxford's first and only Community Diagnostics Centre, enabling accessible, comfortable diagnostics care locally. You will join a dedicated team of clinicians that are committed to providing a comprehensive and effective diagnostic service to patients within the community in a safe and supportive environment.
Day to day you will perform examinations across all Plain Film/X-Ray upon a range of patient types both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will independently assess each patient and adapt radiographic techniques according to the needs of the patient and vet within guidelines and assess referrals as required. You will demonstrate dexterity, accuracy and attention to detail in the preparation of specialist equipment for procedures to be undertaken within the unit whilst adhering to Local and Trust policies e.g. intravenous drug administration, taking blood samples.
About you
Ideally already working at a senior band 5 or 6 level, you will be:
- confident with lone working
- computer literate, able to pick up new systems with ease
- a strong communicator both verbally and written
- flexible and demonstrate initiative
Being fully proficient with CRIS and having experience of OUH plain film protocols would be highly beneficial.
