Dallas, TX, February 26, 2020. Stand-Up MRI of Miami and Perspectum have partnered to deliver to their local community, the latest in diagnostic technology for fatty liver disease. Patients in South Florida will be able to benefit from the non-invasive technology, LiverMultiScan, which will help their physicians make a more detailed assessment of their liver health. With a surge in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and its more severe form, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), becoming the leading reason for liver transplants, physicians are eager to find new ways to diagnose and treat their patients. This new technology together with the anticipated availability of drugs to treat fatty liver disease means that Stand-Up MRI of Miami will be first in line to offer their patients the best possible care.

“Stand-Up MRI is pleased to participate with Perspectum in providing this highly–advanced application, LiverMultiScan, to our South Florida community utilizing our Siemens 3 Tesla MRI Scanner. There are thousands of patients in Miami who might not even know they have fatty liver disease, and we’re proud to be leading the charge against this silent epidemic. Together with Perspectum we can help doctors identify this disease, before it’s too late, and help patients get the treatments they need” - Xavier Rodrigo, Stand-Up MRI of Miami

Stand-Up MRI is a patient-focused imaging center network that strives to ensure both quality and accurate diagnostic imaging and has over 20 locations across Florida and New York. Reported prevalence rates suggest that there are about 825,000 adults with NAFLD and another 110,000 with NASH within Miami-Dade County. LiverMultiScan can help physicians determine extent of liver damage and the most suitable treatment for the patient.

“2020 is a turning point in the battle against fatty liver disease, and together with Stand-Up MRI, we’re excited to be delivering the tools to help Doctors take the best possible care of their patients.” – James Hounsell, General Manager, Perspectum
